The leaders of a Sustainable Scotland – NHScotland Sustainability Conference 2018

With our NHSScotland Sustainability Conference 2018 fast approaching, we have this year’s speakers in place to engage an inspiring and thought-provoking discussion on our role in delivering the United Nations’ Global Goals – action steps to a more sustainable Scotland.

This year’s speakers offer a breadth of expert knowledge, supporting our pivotal role in Sustainability Action. Setting the ambition for the conference, we have plenary sessions from some of the country’s most inspiring change leaders, including:

• Dr Gregor Smith, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Scotland, exploring how we can ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing in Scotland.
• Louise McGregor, Head of Circular Economy at Zero Waste Scotland on new circular economy solutions in Scotland.
• Benedict Zucchi Principal, Architecture Profession Chair, on Hospitals of the Future.

As well as inspirational speakers, we will also be offering linked breakout sessions focusing on sustainable healthcare buildings, climate change and health inequalities, pharmaceuticals and the environment, reducing transport emissions and inspiring behavioural change.
